Traditionally, in many cultures, prioritizing the first 40 days postpartum is considered essential for the birthing person's overall recovery and well-being. Rest, recovery, and bonding with the baby during this period can have numerous physical, emotional, and spiritual benefits that establish a strong foundation for the months ahead.
